Arts & Sciences Month in the Career Center

February is College of Business Month at the Career Center. Special services will be available for students working towards degrees in the following areas: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, General Business, International Business, Marketing,
Journalism, Radio/TV, Media Studies, and Public Relations and Strategic Communications.

Resume Drive-Thru (Feb. 7, 12-5 p.m. and Feb. 8, 10-3 p.m.)

  • Prepare for mock interviews by taking advantage of a 10-15-minute resume "drive-thru." Feel free to drop in between classes to have your resume reviewed. Employers who hire liberal arts and sciences majors will be available to critique your resume and offer advice on how to make yourself more marketable for jobs in your field.

Mock Interviews (Feb. 22, 10-3 p.m. and Feb. 23, 10-3 p.m.)

  • Participate in a mock interview with a local employer who hires college of business majors. Take advantage of the opportunity to network with employers who will offer advice and tips on interviewing for internships, part- and full-time employment. Business professional dress is suggested and you will need a copy of your resume. Register for a mock interview using your BeeCAREERS account.

Crafting Your Social Media for Job Hunting/Networking (Feb. 23, noon - 1 p.m.)

  • This interactive presentation will help you create a positive profile on LinkedIn and the BeeConnection  Understand the benefits of using social neworking sites, create a profile, learn to network, search jobs and find companies.  In an ever-changing economy learn the tools to make yourself more marketable.
