A play about plagiarism is a St. Ambrose University original.
Aaron Randolph, an '02 St. Ambrose grad who returned to school to pursue degrees in theater and computer networking, found inspiration in the story of a photographer who won notoriety painting pictures of pictures. Randolph "borrowed" that story and "The Plagiarists" was born.
The production will debut at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Allaert Auditorium in the Galvin Fine Arts Center and will be followed by a panel/audience discussion on the subjects of plagiarism and originality featuring Randolph, director and St. Ambrose theater department chair Corinne Johnson, PhD, and Michael Hustedde, PhD, an English professor and SAU's director of writing. Performances also will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
