Kaltwasser making himself at home on Wisconsin stage

March 2012

Theatre alum Seth Kaltwasser has been very busy since he graduated from St. Ambrose University in 2009.

After graduating with three Irene Ryan nominations under his belt, Seth found himself pursuing an acting career in the Twin Cities, working for various theatres such as the educational CLIMB Theatre, the St. Croix Falls Festival Theatre, and even made it back to the Quad Cities to perform in the Curtainbox Theatre with his former SAU professor, Dr. Cory Johnson.

As of January, Seth has become a regular employee of the Festival Theatre in St. Croix Falls, Wisc. He started working as an actor before he caught the Artistic Director's eye and became an official member of their staff!

"My title is Development Associate and Teaching Artist," Seth says. "Basically I'm working in Development during the day, directing some youth productions in the evening, and helping to coordinate their summer Creativity Camp program. Also, when their professional theatre series gets started, I will be performing in two or three of their shows this year."

Not only is Seth making a name for himself in Wisconsin, but this summer he is making his way back to Davenport to perform in the upcoming Faculty/Alumni production of "You Can't Take It With You" which will premiere this fall!

Congratulations, Seth, on everything you've accomplished! You have made us very proud here at SAU!
