This summer semester at ACCEL, the Department of Political Science and Leadership Studies will be offering a course entitled "Campaigns and Elections" in conjunction with the upcoming Presidential election. This course, offered only during Presidential election years, examines the U.S. Political campaign process, including organizational and political communications. Voting behavior and forms of political participation, including the political party, are examined in this context.
We will be exploring the ins-and outs of campaigning, the election process, Presidential leadership, citizenship and voting, and movements such as the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street, and their potential impact on the 2012 election.
If you are interested in the upcoming primary and election season, the politics of the day, and the drama associated with a Presidential election year, this class will be a great fit for you.
