As we reach the midpoint of 2012, the changes continue in the MSN program at St. Ambrose. Here are a few highlights below:
• In May, six hard working nurses earned their master's degree in nursing administration. We are proud of their accomplishment and look forward to hearing from them and all our MSN graduates. Here's a picture of the proud grads on Flickr
• On June 6, the Iowa Board of Nursing approved the MSN in Education and the Post Master's Certificate in Nursing Education. Learn more about how this new MSN program is addressing the nursing shortage
• Once again, we are profiling one of our MSN graduates. Please see Nancy Flaherty's interview of Angie Overton's work with nursing stroke patients.
• Finally, a major change for the MSN program is the upcoming retirement of Dr. Dolores Hilden, Chair and founder of the Department of Nursing at St. Ambrose. Although we are happy for Dr. Hilden as she enters this new phase of her life, we will miss her wisdom and guidance in nursing at SAU. Please learn more about her contribution to nursing and the new scholarship developed in her honor.
