Ambrosians John Byrne (professor and chair of marketing) and Rick Fountain (part-time assistant football coach) are joining forces to conquer a race of immense proportions. In the process, they're raising money to support a very brave 8-year-old, Charly Erpelding.

"The Leadville 100 is billed as the "Race Across the Sky," a 100-mile run across the treacherous terrain of the Colorado Rockies that tests the limits of its participants' endurance.
