Four St. Ambrose Musicians to Play in Iowa Honor Band

Four St. Ambrose students have been selected from 17 colleges and universities throughout Iowa to be a part of the 2012 Iowa Collegiate Honor Band Festival in Ames on Nov. 16th and 17th.

The honored students are Michael Eddy, a freshman clarinetist from Madison, Wis., majoring in accounting; Taylor Everding, a senior trumpeter from Eldridge, Iowa, majoring in computer science; Deanna Reichardt, a freshman horn player from Oswego, Ill, majoring in biology; and Brendan Sugrue, a junior alto saxophonist from Crystal Lake, lll., majoring in marketing

The 100-member band will rehearse during the annual Iowa Music Educators Association Conference on the campus of Iowa State University on Nov. 16 & 17 and will perform a concert at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 17th in the Ames City Auditorium. The guest conductor for the event will be Dr. Lowell E. Graham, professor of music at The University of Texas El Paso.
