The start of the new year brings about thoughts of resolutions and new beginnings. It also means it's time to start thinking about filing taxes.
If you had qualified education-related expenses, you should receive a Form 1098-T: Tuition Statement from St. Ambrose University. Qualified education expenses are tuition and certain related expenses required for enrollment or attendance at an eligible educational institution. The information contained in the 1098-T will help you to determine if you may claim the Hope or the Lifetime Learning education tax credits.
Beginning in January, 1098-T forms will be available online via Beeline. No more waiting for your 1098-T to arrive in the mail, you will be able to download and print your 1098-T directly through Beeline. In order to have access to your electronic 1098-T, YOU MUST FIRST CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF YOUR 1098-T FORM.
To access your online consent form, login to Beeline. Once you login, click on the "Students" tab and the 1098-T Electronic Consent link will be under Financial Information. Students will be notified after Jan. 1 when the 1098-T form is available.
