This semester's Studio Theatre show is "No Exit," written by Jean-Paul Sartre and directed by senior Kristen Jett. The show has been in rehearsals since February 10. The all-freshman cast consists of Sophie Foreman, Rachel Hohneke, Conor Strandquist, and Zachary Meyer.
Jett reports that the play is going well and she couldn't be happier with her cast. She frequently finds herself at rehearsals saying, "Thank you all for working so hard, I couldn't ask for more out of any cast."
No Exit is about three characters whose actions in life landed them in hell after death. Throughout the play, each character reveals why they deserve to be in hell, and they figure out that each character will be the torturer of the other two.
"It's an amazing experience to see how in every rehearsal there's a spark," said sophomore and stage manager Andrea Rivera. "We don't see our cast; we actually see our characters."
Jett said she is very thankful to have the opportunity to direct and have such an amazing group of people behind her supporting her, including her cast, production team and the stage management.
The show runs March 21 and 22 at 7:30 pm, and March 23 at 3pm in the Studio Theatre. Tickets are $6 for every admission and are currently on sale in the Box Office.
Tickets can be reserved online or by calling the Box Office at 563-333-6251.
