Fundraiser for Faculty Member: 'Fight Like Albert!'

Albert Chan

March 2013

On October 29th, 2012, Assistant Professor of Philosophy Albert Chan suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. While the road to recovery has been long, Chan has fought hard with will and determination. As is customary, Ambrosians have rallied, providing family meals, support and encouragement.

On March 20, a fundraiser will take place for Chan and his family. Given Chan's passion for volleyball (often joining JV team practice), it is fitting to honor him during the 7 p.m. men's volleyball team home game. "Fight Like Albert" includes t-shirt sales and a raffle.

T-Shirts:
$10 - students
$15 - faculty/staff/general public
Monday-Wednesday, March 18-20
11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Cosgrove Cafeteria
Or purchase one at the game!
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear their shirts all day, March 20, in Chan's honor!
(Employees may wear jeans to work if wearing a "Fight Like Albert" t-shirt.)

Raffle Tickets:
$1 each; five for $6; 13 for $10
Monday-Wednesday, March 18-20
11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Cosgrove Cafeteria
Or purchase them at the March 20 game!

The raffle drawings will take place during halftime. Some examples of raffle items:
