Each year the American Marketing Association of Iowa honors individuals from across the state who have achieved exceptional marketing success.
This year, St. Ambrose swept the NOVA Award student category with Brendan Sugrue, Meghan Dillie and Dave Farley winning first-, second- and third place, respectively. All three are members of the new SAU Marketing Club. The award recognizes single marketing projects or comprehensive campaigns developed by individual students or student groups. Entries are judged on the strategy, tactics and results achieved based on the campaign objectives.
"I am extremely proud of the students in the SAU Marketing Club," said John Byrne, professor and chair of the marketing studies department.
"This student organization has taken off in its first year due to the initiative and energy of its members, who have entered marketing contests; organized a business trip to Chicago; hosted a marketing competition; and helped the Career Center reach record student participation in its annual etiquette dinner. I would also like to thank the dean of the College of Business, Dr. David O'Connell, for his enthusiastic support."
