Alum Featured in July 6 HBO Documentary

Born with cerebral palsy, Abbey Curran '11 grew up with the dream of competing in the Miss USA competition. During her time as a St. Ambrose student, Curran realized her dream after winning the crown of Miss Iowa USA. Even though she did not secure the national title, Curran has found many ways to parlay her success into a life of service to others, including the creation of the Miss You Can Do It Pageant.

On Saturday, July 6, at 2 and 5 p.m., catch a re-broadcast of an HBO documentary that follows Curran and eight girls participating in Curran's Miss You Can Do It Pageant.
