New Editor Becca Brazel

11/05/2013

Welcome to our new editor, sophomore Rebecca (Becca) Brazel. Becca comes to St. Ambrose from Chicago, Ill., where she heard about SAU from a friend. She is interested in marine Biology as well as her obvious interest in theatre.

She is most at home when she is "in character" and remembers with fondness treading the boards in grammar school with her brother as they portrayed Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers. Becca had to wear a very blonde wig.

She was recently seen on the SAU stage in this fall's production of Spamalot (she was the Knight in the sombrero) and will act again in our Studio Theatre in December in Robbie Poston's production of And. We all hope to convince her to do standup comedy sometime in the near future as well!

During her freshman year Becca says she "read the newsletter every month to keep up with what had happened in the department and what was upcoming."

She loves writing and hopes that the SAU Theatre newsletter reaches even more people in the future, including audience members and serving as a recruiting tool for future theatre students.

Welcome aboard, Becca! We look forward to hearing from you as the year progresses.
