Bees Basketball Success

February 2014


The men's and women's teams are on a roll, alumni basketball day was a success, and former Queen Bees coach Lisa Bluder is in the Iowa record books. It's a winning time for Bees basketball.

Queen Bees took the Midwest Collegiate Conference title in a win over Viterbo. Read more here. They improved their record to 22-5 after an overtime win on Saturday's senior day.

The men's team also kept their MCC title dreams alive with a win over Viterbo and a senior day win against Ashford. The senior day win bumps them to 20-7 overall.

Lisa Bluder, the former SAU coach who heads up the Iowa Hawkeye women's basketball team, passed C. Vivian Stringer for the all-time career wins record over 14 years of coaching the Hawkeyes. She credits her solid start to St. Ambrose. Read the article.
