Amanda Greubel Joins MSW

03/17/2014

The School of Social Work welcomes Amanda Greubel '07 MSW as clinical instructor and the Director of Field Education.

Amanda has been fundamental in coordinating field education placements for the foundation year students and for the concentration year students in the program. A 2007 alum of St. Ambrose University School of Social Work, Amanda received her BSW from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Amanda selected a career in social work after her family members instilled in her the importance of volunteering in her community. She sees the MSW program at St. Ambrose as unique in the empowerment method concentration, and in the collaborative relationships between faculty and students.

When asked about her favorite quote, she shared this by Martin Luther King Jr.: "Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase; just take the first step."

When Amanda is off campus she likes to read, spend time with her husband and kids, or volunteer with her church.
