What is one thing that many people do not know about you?
One thing that many people do not know about me is that I'm the President of the Saudi Student Association at St. Ambrose, but hopefully everyone will come to know that now!

What are you most excited about in your first semester at St. Ambrose?
The thing that I'm most excited about in my first semester at SAU is getting to know and experience new cultures and making a lot of new friends.

What is the Saudi Student Association?
The Saudi Student Association is a club on campus that has different goals:

1. Introduce the Saudi Arabian culture to non-Saudis.
2. Help Saudi students blend in with other Saudi and non-Saudi students.
3. Help Saudi students overcome homesickness.
4. Help Saudi students succeed in their academic life.
5. Make Saudi students feel that they are part of the campus and Quad Cities community, instead of feeling like they are outsiders.

Why did you start the SSA?
The reason why I started this club is to change and fix the wrong image that some people might have about Arabs and Muslims in general. Plus, there are about 25 Saudi students on campus, and it is good to know a little about them and where they come from.

Can anyone join the club?
Yes, all SAU students are more than welcome to join SSA. (The more, the merrier.)

What activities do you hope to sponsor with this club?
I try to be social and active as much as possible. Therefore, we will be having movie nights, soccer games, ping-pong, and paintball. Also, we are planning on having events where we will bring a comedian, knowledgeable guest speakers, in addition to having cultural events and celebrations. For example; Eid Alfitr, Eid Al-Adha, and the Saudi Arabian national day. In addition, we will volunteer and give back to the community, such as volunteer at shelters.

Additional Comments:
I highly recommend that you and your friends join our page on Facebook or find us on Facebook by searching for "SSA of Davenport."
