Having Fun on the SAU Campus

April 2014

On Wednesday, April 9, two SAU events celebrated children.

The university and SAU School of Education celebrated its partnership with the Rock Island Center for Math and Science with a St. Ambrose Day. Rotating among 19 classrooms, faculty, staff and students spoke with students about their career journeys—and hopefully inspired the children to reach for their own dreams.

Also, in celebration of the Week of the Young Child, SAU Children's Campus children visited the "big campus." They paraded throughout campus, danced, sang, painted and blew bubbles. They were read to by Bettendorf Mayor Bob Gallagher, SAU staff member and Rock Island Alderman P.J. Foley, Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba and SAU Library Staff Member Malavika Shrikhande. Their work was featured in the Rogalski Center and at the SAU Library.
