SAU faculty and staff are engaged in research, writing, service and the development and refinement of skills-in order to serve our students better. These three faculty and staff members have been recently honored.

  • Associate Professor of Theology Micah Kiel, PhD, wrote a piece for the Noah's Flood website: Noah And Epistemology In The 21st Century, offering his take on the recent, popular movie.
  • Director of Financial Aid Julie Haack was recently elected president of the Iowa Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
  • After two years of work, the Career Center's Kimberly Matteson has been certified as a Nationally Certified Résumé Writer from the National Résumé Writers Association. Matteson is one of only 40 in the nation to have earned this distinction.

Addy Nelson ’23 was born with an entrepreneur’s spirit. With her parents owning the bowling alley in her hometown of Gregory, South Dakota—the same place she perfected her game to earn a scholarship to St. Ambrose University—she learned early to be innovative, customer-focused and business-minded.
