Gardening at the Children's Campus

July 2014

The St. Ambrose University Children's Campus provides a comprehensive early childhood program for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 6-years-old, with or without disabilities, as well as educational experiences and resources for families.

Thanks to a grant from the Hy-Vee One Step program, the children have quite a garden growing: herbs, cabbage, lettuce, onions, zucchini, cucumbers, strawberries, grapes, blackberries, sweet potatoes, peppers, green beans, eggplant, cauliflower and broccoli. Whew!

Read the Quad-City Times story. Enjoy some photos.
