St. Ambrose University's Theatre department welcomes approximately six First Year students into the Theatre Department this fall. Many of them will perform in what has become a departmental tradition, The Fresh Face Revue, a showcase that allows incoming students to perform and work on the Galvin main stage.
This year's Fresh Face Revue will be Thursday, October 16 at 7 p.m. in Allaert Auditorium. Admission is free with a reception to follow.
"The revue is important," said Senior Brooke Schelly, who is directing the Revue, "because it gets people involved and gives everyone a chance to meet and make new friends! It is also a wonderful way to introduce new students to the department."
The following fresh faces and performances include:
Sarah Dixon - "Stay With Me" (Sam Smith)
Hannah Murray - "Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm" (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying)
Kayla Lansing - "I'll Be Here" (Ordinary Days)
Christian Colmenares- "Stars" (Les Miserables)
Jack Hodge - "I Love This Game" (by Neil Labute)
Helena La Corte - "4000 Miles" (by Amy Herzog)
Brian Leibforf - "a.k.a Jason" (by Marianne K. Miller)
Alex Reed - First Year accompanist.
There will also be select scenes that are still to be decided by Schelly.
Schelly says she agreed to direct the Revue because, "I enjoy directing and I enjoy meeting new people. It has been a great opportunity to work with a lot of great new faces."
