Center for International Education Moves to Lower Cosgrove

January 2015

If you're seeking an international opportunity, you no longer have to climb the stairs of Ambrose Hall to find it.

The Center for International Education – which includes Study Abroad, International Student Services, and the Director of International Education – moved to the ground floor of Cosgrove Hall over Winter break.

Dr. Ryan Dye, Director of International Education, thinks the move to Cosgrove will be a positive change for international education at St. Ambrose. "Our new location underlines the University's commitment to its core value of Diversity," he says.

International Student Advisor, Cathy Toohey, says she is excited for a more visible location "right in center of campus activity." She hopes Lower Cosgrove will become a hub for international students.

Study Abroad Coordinator, Stephanie Loncarich, says she hopes that the convenient location will lead to more students dropping in to talk about study abroad opportunities.

"Unless they were lost, students would never stumble upon the Study Abroad office in Ambrose Hall," she says. "They really needed to seek it out. Now, students can stop by our new location any time. We're much easier to find."

International Recruiter Munir Sayegh's office was temporarily relocated to the Graduate Admissions office on the first floor of Ambrose Hall. He will join his Admissions colleagues in the Eye Care Pavilion building when they move in July.

Phone numbers for Dr. Ryan Dye, Stephanie Loncarich, and Cathy Toohey will remain the same. You can contact the Center for International Education at 563-333-6389.
