Graduates of the St. Ambrose Nursing program continue to make us proud!

Nurses were honored May 3 at the 11th annual celebration of 100 Great Iowa Nurses in Des Moines, chosen because their "courage, competence and commitment to patients and the nursing profession stand out above all others."

Thirteen Genesis Health System nurses were selected for this honor, seven of them St. Ambrose graduates or affiliated with the university. Our congratulations go out to:

Adam Haut, RN, BSN '08; Genesis ER
Cheryl Curl, MSN '09; Jackson County Regional Health Center (managed by Genesis)
Linda Fish, RN, MSN '12; Genesis step down center
Faith McCleary, RN, MSN '08; Genesis regional referral center
Colleen Mulholland, RN, BSN, MSN '07; Genesis ER
Cindy Skipton, RN, MSN '09; Genesis pediatrics, adult surgical, NICU
Petra Chase, Adjunct Nursing Instructor, RN, MSN; Genesis cardiac step down

"Each year Genesis nurses are highly regarded and recognized for their work. To have 13 nurses selected for this honor shows not only the quality of our nursing staff, but the depth of that quality," said Jackie Anhalt, MSN, RN, MS, Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nurse Executive, Genesis Health System. "Our nurses are consistently recognized on both a statewide and national basis. We are proud that we work with truly great nurses and because of the excellent care they provide, our patients benefit."
