November 2015

On Nov. 7, more than 80 high school students , some from hundreds of miles away, gathered at St. Ambrose with at least one thing in common—music.

The teens were nominated by their high school band directors to be a part of St. Ambrose's 40th annual Honor Band Festival and Concert. Working together from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., they showcased their talent in a public concert at the Galvin Fine Arts Center.

From the Quad-City Times:
"'We pick the kids based upon their accomplishments, their ability and the needs of the orchestra,' said Dr. Nicholas Enz, the director of the event. 'It's always a huge event for them, and it's exciting to see it come together.'"
