A New Kind of Course Management

May 2016

Nursing student Bobby Wolfe enlisted lessons learned in the classroom to improve his perspective as he prepared for last week's NAIA Men's National Golf Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.

From the Quad-City Times:
Instead of concentrating on the consistency of his drives or focusing on his putting, Bobby Wolfe spent time assisting in a mental health facility and later worked with patients on the cardiac floor at Genesis East, only two in a series of clinical experiences he will gain before completing his nursing degree.

"All of those frustrations you find on the course, they seem pretty miniscule to what other people are dealing with," Wolfe said.

If you missed the fine Quad-City Times piece on a true student-athlete, read it now.
