Another Hall Call for Roberts

Gayle Roberts

December 2016

Gayle Roberts ‘91 MBA, a former St. Ambrose University Board Trustee, has been recognized as one of the most successful Iowa State University engineering graduates. Roberts, president and CEO of Stanley Consultants, was recently inducted into ISU Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) Hall of Fame.

According to a press release, the induction recognizes the impact Roberts has had on the profession and ISU. Less than one half of one percent of the department's 600 alumni have been inducted.

Roberts joined Stanley Consultants, Iowa's largest engineering firm, as a chemical engineer and steadily advanced through the organization. In 2007, she was elected the fifth president in the company's history and became the first female president of a global consulting engineering firm. In 2012, she was elected chief executive officer. Founded in 1913, Stanley Consultants has a staff of 1000 employees in 30 offices around the world. The firm is ranked among the largest engineering companies in the U.S.
