Realistic Joneses: Your new favorite comedy

March 2017

This semester the Studio Theatre welcomes back Rachel Pribulsky '17 as she directs the comedy The Realistic Joneses by Will Eno. Rehearsals are already underway and according to stage manager, junior Kelci Eaton, they are going great.

The cast is as follows:
Senior Jonathan "JJ" Johnson as Bob Jones
Junior Megan Clarke, Junior as Jennifer Jones
Senior Helene Devine, Senior as Pony Jones
Junior Brian Leibforth, Junior as John Jones

The Realistic Joneses is the story of two different couples – both named "Jones" – and their interactions with one another. Pony and John move in next door to Bob and Jennifer, and from there hilarity ensues that is both laugh-out-loud funny and quite touching.

"The language used in the play is a little bit awkward at times, but it's also hysterical," exclaimed Eaton. Unfortunately, she cannot reveal any more than that without spoiling the plot. Maybe, just maybe, the characters realize their similarities are what unite them in a most unconventional way.

Besides having a talented cast, there are also many skilled student and faculty crew members participating as well. The designers are as follows:

Senior Jordan Webster-Moore, Light Design
Sophomore Hannah Donovan, Props Design
Senior Allie Stecklein, Sound Design
Staff, Matt Elliott, Set Design
Junior Kayla Lansing, Costume Design

Eaton is excited to announce that Realistic Joneses is ahead of schedule! Some designers are already beginning their work while the acting portion has taken off at great speed. Actors have begun memorizing lines, character development is coming along, and the group, as a whole, is bonding well. You couldn't ask for much more in a great production!

You can come and see The Realistic Joneses on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 1 at 3 p.m. in the Studio Theatre in the Galvin Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $6. Visit for ticket information. Hope to see you there!
