Interns Can Make SAU Summer Home

SAU residence halls

March 2017

Students from colleges and universities across the U.S. also can take advantage of summer housing at SAU.

Again this year, St. Ambrose is opening Hagen, McCarthy and Tiedemann residence halls to students who relocate to the Quad Cities for the summer to serve an internship. Residence Life hall director Alex Carr said SAU housed student interns last summer who were learning and working on-site for local and national companies, including Von Maur, Exelon, Chick-fil-A, Quad City Bank & Trust, Genesis Health System, and Arconic (formerly known as Alcoa).

Carr said he continues to reach out to other companies, too, letting them know about the opportunity and benefits interns enjoy while living on campus. "They know we are a solid option for their interns," he said, adding the relationship between SAU and industry-leading companies continues to grow.

Housing is available May 26-Aug.1. Residence Life will work with interns who need housing before or after those dates. The room rate varies based on the residence hall and the choice of a single or double room. The interns get to enjoy all SAU amenities and have the opportunity to become immersed in the university's vibrant campus community.

Summer housing contracts are due by April 21. For more information click on summer housing.
