The College of Business now offers the MBA program in a 100% online format. Students can take classes from anywhere at any time, working within busy schedules.

Adam Geneva, a current online student, decided to pursue his MBA to increase his overall understanding of the business realm.

"I currently work for the Rock Island Arsenal, and a lot of skills gained through an MBA include leadership and teamwork," Geneva said. "I really want to focus on leadership skills to gain a better opportunity of growth in the organization."

Geneva is a fan of the degree, as well as the faculty.

"It is great, I really couldn't ask for a better learning experience," he said. "I recommend St. Ambrose because of the professors. They seem very encouraging and upfront."

Tara Dumolien, also a current online student, is focused on the leadership aspect of the degree.

"I want to improve my management and leadership skills, and I want the flexibility of the online classes," she said. "Working full-time and going to an in-person class can be hard. I like having the flexibility to do my work when I have time."

And, Dumolien is enjoying her online learning experience.

"I don't feel like I am missing anything by taking classes online," she said. "My professors grade papers quickly and give feedback so I know what to work on for my next assignment."

Shannon Mackey, PhD, associate professor of Biology, also appreciates the convenience of the online format.

"I like the flexibility," Mackey said. "I can work on classes and homework on my time."

Brandi Schminkey said the online classes are more convenient for her because of her location.

"I live in Cedar Rapids, so commuting to Davenport was feasible, but not ideal," she said. "I'm enrolled in my first class, and I absolutely love it! My professor is supportive, informative, and provides exceptional feedback on my contribution to class assignments."

Mackey said the online format helps her focus on one topic at a time.

"The content really sinks in," she said. "And for working people, it's less stressful."
