Grad brings faith to bench

Joe Barrer '03 will lead the Davenport Assumption Knights boys basketball squad into postseason play this week after coaching them to an 18-3 regular season that included the Knights' first 16-0 run through the Mississippi Athletic Conference in 32 years. A product of Lourdes Catholic School in Bettendorf as well as Assumption and St. Ambrose, Barrer told The Catholic Messenger:  "I value Catholic education and wanted to give back."
