The interviewer is definitely going to ask you if you have any questions. You better! Here are a few examples:

  1. What do you see as the most important facet of the position?
  2. What is the company's management style and what are the growth projections for the next five years?
  3. Is this a new position or am I replacing someone? If I am replacing someone, where is the person who last filled this position?
  4. Where does this position fit in the organizational structure and what are the opportunities for advancement?
  5. What challenges do you see your company facing in the next decade?
  6. Does your company encourage continued education and what development programs are available to your employees?
  7. How do you evaluate employee performance and how often are they given?
  8. What type of training or supervision might I expect for the first three months?
  9. What do you like best about this company?
  10. What makes your company stand above others?
  11. Why did you join the company?
  12. What surprises have you seen since coming here?
  13. What is your turnover rate? How does that compare to five years ago?
  14. How many people have you brought in from the outside lately?
  15. What are the biggest short-term and long-term challenges to this job?
  16. Do you have regular staff meetings? How often?
  17. Give me an example of a difficult employee relations situation. How was it handled, and what was the outcome?
  18. What most contributes to an employee's success here?
