The Student Hall Manager (SHM) is a student staff member who lives and works with the student population of McCarthy Hall. The SHM's job includes supervising three Resident Advisors, managing low-level conduct, tracking hall programming, and maintaining 10 office hours weekly.
Departmental responsibilities include assisting with recruitment and selection of residents for the spiritual and international communities, as well as co-chairing the Alcohol Awareness committee with another member of the Residence Life Senior Team.
