First Floor, North Hall
Jake Hannon is from Davenport, Iowa, and is a junior this year at St. Ambrose. Jake is looking forward to his second year as an RA. He was in Bechtel his freshmen year and is looking forward to being in Bechtel again as an RA. He is majoring in Radio/TV Broadcasting. He likes to participate in many intramural sports at Ambrose, such as floor hockey, ultimate Frisbee, basketball, sand volleyball, and soccer. During his free time, he likes to play guitar, hang out with friends, go fishing, watch movies, and play sports. He is excited for a fun year at Bechtel and meeting lots of new people.
Michelle Pohl, First Floor RA
Michelle is a sophomore at SAU majoring in Psychology. Originally from the greater Milwaukee area of Wisconsin, she came to Ambrose to pursue a career as an occupational therapist. Michelle stays involved on campus through various clubs and activities such as Ambrose Peace and Justice, ADAPT, Campus Ministry, intramurals, and more! When she isn't at a meeting or studying, she loves to sing and dance around in her room, so feel free to stop by and join the party. Impromptu Disney marathons also are encouraged. Michelle is thrilled to be the 1st floor RA in Bechtel. Being her first year in ResLife, she can't wait to get to know her awesome residents and staff this year!
Aaron Sloterdyk, Second Floor RA
This will be my first year as a part of the ResLife team. I am a sophomore from Marion, Iowa. I am a part of the Track I DPT program here at Ambrose. In a few years I hope to be a practicing physical therapist. I love meeting people, music, and just hanging out with a bunch of different people! I am involved in almost all of the intramural sports but have a knack for hurting myself so I have to sit out some. During the summer I have a job back home as a lifeguard at a local pool. Swimming is a great time. I'm looking forward to meeting and helping a lot of freshmen make the transition I did last year!
Brooke Neumann, Third Floor RA
Hi there! My name is Brooke, and I am currently a sophomore Nursing student with a minor in Biology. I'm from Lake in the Hills, Illinois (I'm willing to bet you've never heard of it) and I can't wait to begin my first year as an RA on third floor Bechtel! I'm really looking forward to creating new memories with my fellow RAs and my residents. When I'm taking a break from studying, you can find me spending time with friends, dominating in a board or card game, or watching movies and TV shows on Netflix. I'm super involved with all aspects of Campus Ministry, I enjoy a good run, and I love laughing with friends. Let's have a great year!
Kate Ross, Third Floor RA
Kate is eager to begin her second year as an RA, where she strives to make big changes on campus! She comes from a boisterous family of eight in Urbana, Ill. As a junior, Kate is an Honors student studying nursing with a biology minor. Outside of the classroom, you can find her in the gym lifting weights, playing intramural volleyball, or going for a run! She also enjoys photography, hanging out with friends and family, or straight chillin'.
Tyler Waugh, Fourth Floor RA
A senior, from Woodhull, Ill., Tyler is looking forward to his second year in Residence Life! Tyler is majoring in American Government Education with a Pre-Law minor. He's looking forward to attending law school after this school year. He has competed for the past three years in both college football and SAU's Mock Trial team. Tyler likes to spend most of his time being active with anything that could be challenging and fun. He may be a very competitive guy, but he's also very easy-going. With a subscription to Hulu Plus and Netflix you can tell he's highly interested in good films and television. When he isn't stuffing his face with good food, he also enjoys hanging out with friends and family!
Jonathan Ottenfeld, Fourth Floor RA
Jonathan is a senior at St. Ambrose University and hails from just south of Chicago. He plans to graduate in the spring with degrees in Sport Management and Marketing. Jonathan is now a seasoned veteran in Residence Life; this will be his third year working with First Year residents. Jonathan's vast knowledge and connections within the University make him a valuable resource for incoming students. Jonathan could not "Bee" more excited to be a part of the Residence Life team and to help lay the ground work in becoming a true Ambrosian.
