Welcome to Franklin! Our goal for the year is simple: we want to make your living experience here fantastic. We have an awesome staff this year that is both approachable and friendly so let us know what we can do for you! We encourage you to get to know your RAs, talk with the other RAs and Hall Director, and stop by the Franklin office near the lobby to get to know all of us.
Don't be afraid to knock on doors to meet new people. Walk down the hall, say hello to your friends, meet new people and talk with hall staff. We are going to do everything we can to make your experience here amazing but we also need you to put forth genuine effort. Your effort will contribute significantly to your living experience this year.
Davis Elkins is going to be a junior during the 2014-2015 school year and is all pumped up! Davis hails from Quincy, Ill., where he attended Quincy Notre Dame High School. He attended St. Ambrose University because it was far away from home without being too far. He is majoring in Computer Network Administration and Business Management with a minor in Communication studies. This is Davis' second year in St. Ambrose Residence Life. Last year he was an RA in Cosgrove. He is currently involved with the Computer Club, IEEE, SAU Dance Marathon, SAU Dodgeball club, and MORE!! And when he isn't dealing with all of this, Davis enjoys video games, movies, sports, and hanging with his friends. Davis thinks living in the Frank is the best decision anyone will make for this year because Everything is Awesome!!!
James Warren, First Floor RA
James is a junior from Rockford, Ill. It will be his first year as a part of the Residence Life staff and his second year in Franklin Hall. He is majoring in Exercise Science and Human Performance and Fitness. He graduated from Boylan Catholic High School in 2012 and was involved in soccer and track and field. Now at Ambrose he is a sprinter for the track team. His hobbies include playing sports, yelling at his TV while playing XBox, and accidently setting off fire alarms in Franklin by burning Pop Tarts.
Forrest Campbell, First Floor RA
Forrest will be a sophomore. He is originally from Davenport and is a Biology major. In his free time, Forrest likes all outdoor activities, including hiking, rock climbing and kayaking. On campus, he likes being involved and is a part of several clubs and organizations. Forrest also likes spending time with his dog Andre and hopes to one day live out in the western U.S. He is very approachable and will do all that he can to assist residents. Forrest loves St. Ambrose and is eager to start his next year!
Regan McLaughlin, Second Floor RA
This is my first year as an RA and I am really excited! This is my third year here at Ambrose, and in the fall I will be starting graduate school for Occupational Therapy. I was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa. I have loved my first two years here at Ambrose and am excited to see what the next three have in store for me. I am a member of the women's varsity soccer team and have been very involved in Dance Marathon here at Ambrose during my first two years. In my free time I enjoy watching Gossip Girl, playing intramural sports, and working out. I am very excited to meet all of my residents and can't wait to help make their sophomore year fun and full of memories!
Hannah Godlewski, Second Floor RA
Hannah will be entering her junior year. She is currently planning on majoring in Criminal Justice and Political Science with minors in History and Pre-Law. This will be Hannah's second year as an RA, and she is very ecstatic to being in Franklin this year. Hannah is from Joliet, Ill., where she participated in many clubs, sports, and honor societies. At Ambrose, Hannah is on the women's bowling team and volunteers with the Admissions Office. Outside of school, she loves being around friends and having a great time! She is very excited about the 2014-2015 year in The Frank!
Cole Epping, Third Floor RA
Cole is a junior at St. Ambrose this year. He is from the tiny town of Blairstown, Iowa, and is the fourth son of five in his family. He is majoring in History and Theology. In his free-time Cole loves to watch Netflix, eat food, hang out with his friends, listen to music (mostly Beyoncé), read, and watch movies. He may have a slight obsession with cats as well. He's also pretty excited to spend his first year working for Residence Life in Franklin!
Candace Rada Fourth Floor RA
I am incredibly excited to begin my junior year as an RA. I am a Nursing major. I grew up in Camanche, Iowa, but moved to Atalissa, Iowa, after high school. When I am not in class or studying, I love to catch up with friends, watch TV, volunteer in the community, and spend time with my sister and incredibly cute nephew. Back home I am a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician for my local fire department. On campus I am a member of St. Ambrose Student Nursing Association, Phi Eta Sigma, and Dance Marathon. Please feel free to stop by if you have any questions or just want to chat.
Beth Berg, Fourth Floor RA
Beth is a senior. This is her second year in Residence Life. She is from Winfield, Ill., and is double-majoring in Political Science and Sociology with two minors: Pre-Law Studies and Women and Gender Studies. In her free-time, Beth likes participating in some of St. Ambrose's clubs; Beth is president of SAU College Democrats, Vice President of Model United Nations, a Dancer in Dance Marathon, and a member of the Sexual Assault Awareness Team (SAAT). Beth also enjoys debating, reading, watching movies and TV shows, being in multiple fandoms, and trying out new craft ideas (that usually end badly). At the risk of sounding cliche, she is VERY excited to be back in Franklin on fourth floor.
