Katie is a senior majoring in Accounting, International Business, and Theology. She came to Ambrose from Moscow Mills, Mo., (a small town 60 miles outside of St. Louis). Katie is super involved here at Ambrose; she has been on the Executive Board for Ambrosians for Peace and Justice for two years and is a lector and Eucharistic minister for Campus Ministry. She is honored to be the Fundraising Director for SAU Dance Marathon 3.0. In her free-time, Katie enjoys spending time with her friends, watching movies or Netflix, and attending Cardinal baseball games. Katie also enjoys traveling; she has studied abroad in Italy and Spain and wishes she could have gone to a few more countries before graduating. She is very excited about meeting her new wonderful residents in North and welcoming back all the wonderful returning residents. This will be Katie's third and final year as a part of the Residence Life team and her second as Academic Community Advisor; she wants to make this year the best!

I am from Norridge, Ill. I have two younger brothers, Jared and Seth. I am a sophomore and run track at Ambrose. Some events I compete in are the 200-meter, 400-meter, and pole vault. I love to eat; my favorite has to be pasta. I have been to Hawaii. This is my first year as a Residential Advisor. I am looking forward to meet the residents and can't wait for the school year to begin.

Hi, my name is Alexsandra (Alex) Najda. I am from Chicago, Ill., specifically the Rogers Park neighborhood on the north side (GO CUBS). At St. Ambrose University I am studying Political Science with a concentration in International Politics, as well as double minoring in International Studies and History. After graduation – and before grad school – I plan on doing AmeriCorps or Peace Corps. One day I want to work for the U.S. State Department or the United Nations. I am a hippie at heart and love going on adventures and learning about new places and things. My favorite Disney movies are Peter Pan and Robin Hood. I hate parades and detest chick flicks. As cliche as it sounds, my family is the most important thing in the world to me, with my friends being a close second. I prefer to surround myself with good people who challenge and accept me. I pride myself on being very open and nonjudgmental. My favorite animals are unicorns.

During her free-time she likes to play sports, sing, watch movies, and read. She is excited to start a new semester at Ambrose!
Alyssa Eckstein, Third and Fourth Floor Preferred RA
North Hall 401
Alyssa is no stranger to North Hall. This fall will be her fourth semester as a preferred RA there. She is from Roanoke, Ill., and is finishing up her education in St. Ambrose's Master of Occupational Therapy program. She is passionate about OT, especially working with children. She spends her summers working at a day camp for children with special needs. She loves to travel and is always interested in hearing about others' adventures around the world. If you smell popcorn in the building it is most likely coming from her room and she will never turn down an invitation to join you for ice cream or coffee. Alyssa can't wait for a great semester!
