Register Vehicles and Permit Purchase

Students

  • Every motor vehicle operated by a student in the city of Davenport must be registered with the Security Department.
  • Every motor vehicle used on campus (including all lots, roadways, and driveways) by students must be registered with the Security Department and must display a current, valid permit.
  • Any vehicle operated on campus that is not registered will subject the operator to a $20 service fee and university disciplinary action.
  • Registration and permit purchases may be made at The Permit Store. Permits are not required for summer sessions, winter break, and spring break. However, students must contact Security to arrange for break parking, and to avoid tickets.
  • Up to three vehicles may be registered to one permit, but all the vehicles must be operated solely by the owner of the permit. Permits may not be transferred, loaned, shared or sold by parties other than the St. Ambrose University Security Office. 
  • To register for a permit you will need to have the following: an active email address; your student ID number; vehicle make, model and color information; and, license plate information.
  • Online registration is available 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Students parking on campus must select the permit that appropriately reflects their choice of zone. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that all vehicle information is kept up to date and accurate. Changes to vehicle or owner information may be made online at The Permit Store by entering the account you create when you order your permit.


Employees

  • All faculty and staff must have a valid parking permit, and these are available free of charge from our online system. All vehicles that may be operated on campus must be registered and display a valid permit.
  • Permit acquisition may be made at The Permit Store. Up to three vehicles may be registered to one permit, but all the vehicles must be operated solely by the owner of the permit.
  • Additional stickers do not have to be acquired for vehicles added to permits but are available for $10 per sticker. Permits may not be transferred, loaned, shared or sold by parties other than the St. Ambrose University Security Office. Faculty and staff permits are not to be used by student dependents attending class at the university.
