Refund Policy

For short-term SAU faculty-led programs

The initial application deposit will be refunded, if:

  • The student is not accepted into the study abroad program.
  • The program is cancelled.
  • The student withdraws his/her application prior to the initial application deadline.


The commitment fee will be refunded, if:

  • The program is cancelled.
  • The student withdraws his/her application prior to the commitment fee deadline.


No money will be refunded, if:

  • The student withdraws from the program after the commitment fee deadline.
  • The student withdraws from the program after the final payment deadline.


Exceptions:

  • If students must withdraw from the study abroad program due to a documented emergency, refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis.
  • Students participating in UMAIE or affilate programs must adhere to the refund guidelines set by the program provider.
