Our students' health and well-being is of the highest importance to St. Ambrose University. We are committed to helping you and your students prepare for the trip and will continue to provide support for the duration of your course abroad.
Faculty leaders are expected to attend a pre-departure orientation and meet with the Center for International Education prior to departure to discuss the Critical Incident Reponse manual so you will feel prepared to act in the unlikely event of an emergency.Prior to departure, students receive a Study Abroad Handbook which includes general information about staying healthy, avoiding health and safety risks, and what to do in the case of a health or safety emergency. Students are responsible for reviewing this information before traveling abroad. Faculty leaders should also share specific health and safety tips with students once your group arrives in the host country.
