"I love sharing my passion for study abroad. It's rewarding to watch our students' transformation into more confident, capable and culturally-aware young adults. I'm so lucky to be a part of their journey."
When she was a senior at Bettendorf High School, Stephanie skipped her graduation ceremony to participate in a 4-week exchange program in Blieskastel, Germany. She has been hooked on international travel ever since.
As a Unversity of Iowa student, she studied abroad for one year in Freiburg am Breisgau in the Black Forest. She still considers Germany to be her second home. In addition to living in Germany, she has traveled throughout Europe and the United Kingdom and also visited Japan, Ecuador and Canada.
After college she served as an AmeriCorps member in Massachusetts and Minnesota and worked as a nanny in Germany before returning to Iowa. Stephanie has worked at SAU since 2007.
I promote study abroad opportunities on campus, help students through the study abroad process, and coordinate events like the Study Abroad Fair, International Mixer, Around the World in a Snapshot Photo Contest and International Education week.
