Through extraordinary site visits, gifted expert lecturers, and a well-designed and integrated set of readings, experiential activities, guided reflections, and written assignments we will together learn how Thailand's politics, religion, geography, and history
have influenced its development and current economic performance.
Our travels will take us to Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai, the northern "Golden Triangle," and Krabi. Course highlights include visits to the world famous Grand Palace, Wat Pho, the White Temple, Hall of Opium, Baan Chang Elephant Park, Wat Doi Suthep, and the soft white sand beaches and towering limestone karsts of the Andaman Sea.
