Homes for Haiti Spring Break Service Trip

Program description

Over 500 persons travel each year with Lifeline Christian Mission to share in a cross-cultural experience. Each work team is tailored to the individual participant's needs and abilities, and has standard, built-in activities that Lifeline believes provide for a well rounded experience. During this week-long service trip, SAU staff, faculty and student volunteers will work with Lifeline's Homes for Haiti Ministry to build a home for a Haitian family. What is included

• Round-trip airfare from Moline to Haiti
• Shared accommodation in men's and women's dormitories

What is not included

• Passport fees
• Immunization costs
• Souvenirs and spending money (avg. $50 - $100)
• Meals/snacks while traveling

How to apply

Complete the online application and submit a $500 application deposit to the Center for International Education by October 15. Screening interviews may be conducted to aid in the selection process.

• Make checks payable to St. Ambrose University.
• The application deposit is deducted from the total program cost.
• If you are not accepted, or if the program is cancelled, the application deposit is refundable.
• If you are accepted, this deposit is non-refundable after October 15.

Payment deadlines

October 15: $500 Application deposit due
November 1: $500 commitment fee due
December 15: remaining balance due

Payment details

• Submit $500 commitment fee to the Center for International Education.
• Make checks payable to St. Ambrose University.
• The commitment fee is deducted from the total program cost.
• Failure to meet payment deadlines may jeopardize your place in the program.
• The commitment fee is non-refundable after November 1.
• Please submit your final payment to the Center for International Education by December 15.
• The final payment is non-refundable after December 15.
