Dual Admission Program

As a community college student, you are creating a foundation for future educational and career opportunities. You haven't yet finished your associate's degree, but you can begin building on that foundation now.

When you enroll as a Dual Admission student, you'll be guided by an SAU academic advisor, be eligible for an additional scholarship, and receive the same resources as full-time students: campus library, fine arts center, Wellness and Recreation Center, Academic and Career Planning, and more.

Dual Admission keeps your goal front and center and ensures a smooth transition to SAU once you complete your associate's degree.

Best of all, you'll be an Ambrosian starting today and enjoy all the campus has to offer.

Why Dual Admission?

Benefits

Academic Advising
As you work to complete your associate's degree, you'll work one-on-one with a SAU academic advisor who will help you stay on-track in earning your bachelor's degree. Your meetings will go beyond a check in on a check list. You'll talk about your goals, concerns and achievements, and be encouraged and supported every step of the way.

Dual Admission Scholarship
Apply for the SAU/CC Dual Admission program before you complete 30 credits in your associate degree program, and you will be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship when you begin full-time studies at SAU. This scholarship is above and beyond any other SAU academic and institutional scholarship aid for which you may be eligible.

Articulation Agreement
Articulation Agreements ensure your community college coursework fulfills our general education requirements. In fact, most students who transfer to SAU from an accredited community college do so with a transcript that satisfies most of our gen ed requirements.

Your SAU ID – And So Much More!
You'll get a St. Ambrose student ID that gives you immediate access to SAU activities, clubs, events, and facilities, including the Library, Galvin Fine Arts Center, Wellness and Recreation Center, and Academic and Career Planning.

The SAU Library is staffed by helpful librarians who can answer questions, help locate research materials, and teach you how to use online resources. You get access to hundreds of online database services in addition to a vast collection of books, periodicals, audio-visual materials. You get full access to all library services and can check out materials from other Quad Cities college and public libraries.

The Galvin Fine Arts Center hosts student and professional performances, concerts, lectures, and student activities. These events, as well as the Galvin Performing Fine Arts Season events, are free to students with a SAU ID.

The Wellness and Recreation Center is the hub for basketball, racquetball, volleyball, weightlifting, jogging, recreational activities, and varsity athletics. Come in and use the equipment or join a group fitness class. You also get free admission to all regular season home athletic events.
