Transfer Advising

Welcome to the St. Ambrose University community!

Meeting with an adviser is an important step in your new academic career at St. Ambrose as you look forward to beginning your studies in Fall 2013.

During your appointment you will be meeting with an advisor within your major who will help you select and register for courses for your first semester at St. Ambrose.

Advising and registration appointments for new transfer students will begin in April 12 for students who will be juniors when they start at SAU. All other transfer students can register starting April 18.

Appointments will be taken Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. At least 48 hours notice is needed.

The sooner you schedule an advising appointment, the better your options for selecting among course offerings.

Once you have scheduled your appointment, Megan Irmen from the Advising Office will email you to confirm the time and location and to provide the name of your advisor. She will also send you a temporary parking permit for that day.
