AEO Schedule of Events

7:45 a.m.  – Chemistry Placement Test and Check-in

Rogalski Center 2nd Floor
Required for all students planning to enroll in a biology or chemistry class. These classes are required for students majoring in biology, chemistry, exercise science, physics, pre-medicine or pre-physical therapy. You do not need to bring any testing materials with you.

8:45 a.m. – Check-in for students not taking Chemistry Placement Test

Rogalski Center 2nd Floor

9 a.m. – Academic Orientation and Welcome

Students and parents will meet with an academic advisor to discuss general education curriculum and your particular area of study. This will prepare students for their individual advising appointment.

10 a.m. –  Various Events

Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Students and parents will be divided into small groups and rotate through the following activities:

  • Academic advising and class registration
  • Beeline Training: Learn about our online registration, financial aid and bill payment.
  • Financial Aid Appointment: Students and parents will have an individual appointment with a representative from the Financial Aid Office to discuss your bill. If you qualified for a work-study job, you will meet with a representative from the Career Center to plan your work-study job for next year.
  • STARs Session: Current students will provide you with information about the bookstore, living on campus, academics, social life, getting the most out of college, and other issues students encounter during their time at SAU.
  • Ambrose At Its Core: What does it really mean to be an Ambrosian? In this session, parents will hear about service learning and leadership opportunities, community involvement, and how all of this helps your student grow and develop as an individual over the next four years. 
2:45 p.m. – Campus Tour (optional)
