
St. Ambrose accepts up to 90 credit hours from four-year colleges and universities and up to 60 credit hours from two-year or community colleges. Students who have earned an AA or AS (Associate of Arts or Associate of Science) degree from a two-year college typically enter with junior status. The Records and Registration Office, along with your major department advisor, will determine which of your transfer credits fulfill general education requirements and major requirements.
Students transferring with an A.A. or A.S. will have completed our General Education program with the exception of the following:
Freshman: 0-29 credits
Sophomore: 30-59 credits
Junior: 60-89 credits
Senior: 90 and more credits
Students who have earned an AA or AS (Associate of Arts or Associate of Science) degree from a two-year college typically enter with 60 credit hours and junior status. Students who have earned an AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degree are encouraged to consider SAU's Bachelor of Applied Management Technology degree.
