What I look for

A kind heart and willingness to learn. Students that attend St. Ambrose are the kind of people that care and want to make a difference, from saying "hi" to someone who may look lonely, to doing volunteer or service learning or by taking their studies seriously.

A bit about Meg

As an alum and self-proclaimed "lifer," Meg couldn't imagine being any happier anywhere else. She loves what she does. "They say that your college years are the best years of your life," Meg says. "And it's true! I'm so lucky to wake up every morning and go to such a great place. I love getting to know our students."

What I like about my job

Pretty much everything! I love people and building relationships. It is an honor to have the job I hold, and I take it very seriously. Choosing a college is a big decision for many families, and I try to do whatever I can to help students find the right fit.

My hobbies

Meeting new people, traveling, watching my sons at sporting events and enjoying the new addition to our family, Allison.

Connections to SAU

My grandfather graduated from the academy, my uncle graduated from the university, my brother graduated from the "sister school" Marycrest College and my mother was a professor there for many years.

Most commonly asked question

What makes St. Ambrose different from other private colleges in Iowa?
And Meg's answer
: St. Ambrose is one of the fastest growing private universities in Iowa. Our facilities continue to grow: a new university center, a partnership with Genesis Health Systems to build a state-of-the-art health science facility, and we have the best selection of housing in the Midwest. Visit campus, meet the people and then you will see that there is a heart and soul on this campus that can not be duplicated.
