Chicago-area high school seniors: Are you looking for a private, liberal arts university that's away from home, but close enough for a day trip? Then you should check out St. Ambrose. With more than 75 majors, premiere housing facilities and a dynamic campus life, we stand with the best!

During a Bus Trip, you can tour campus, snag some SAU gear at the bookstore, and meet with faculty. You also get to spend a night in one of our residence halls. Enjoy life as a Fighting Bee! The trip, which departs from and returns to Oakbrook Center.

The March 2012 bus trip is full and no more registrations are being accepted at this time. If you have already registered for March 20–21, the itinerary information for your trip follows:


Typical Trip Itinerary

First day

  • by 3:15 pm: Students gather at Oakbrook Center in front of Macy's (west side of mall)
  • 3:30 pm: Bus departs from Oakbrook Center, St. Ambrose admissions counselors ride along
  • by 6:00 pm: Bus arrives on St. Ambrose campus, students meet hosts and take belongings to rooms
  • 6:30 pm: Dinner
  • 7:30-9:00 pm: Organized activity or event
  • 9:00 pm: Students return to host's residence for the night

Second day

  • 8:00 am: Breakfast
  • 9:00–10 am: Health Sciences facility tour
    or
  • 9:00–10:00 am: Q&A session
  • 10:00 am: Campus tour
  • 11 am to noon: Lunch with faculty and coaches
  • 12:15–12:30 pm: Bookstore
  • 12:45 pm: Bus leaves Ambrose campus, St. Ambrose admissions counselors ride along (students will call their rides when bus is about an hour away from arrival)
  • approximately 3:15 to 3:30 pm: Bus returns to Oakbrook Center


Cost

The trip costs $30 per person. Pay in advance by check made out to "St. Ambrose University" and mailed to: Alyse Schmidt, Admissions Office, St. Ambrose University, 518 W.Locust St., Davenport, IA 52803. Payment by check or cash will also be accepted during boarding on the day of the trip.

This trip is for students who have applied and been accepted for undergraduate studies at St. Ambrose.
