Meet Our Student Vets

We've highlighted a couple of recent St. Ambrose University veteran graduates!


Petty Officer Second Class Brandon Reyes walked the commencement stage on Saturday May 13th, 2017 earning his Bachelor of Science in Computer Network Administration degree. Brandon is a Navy Corpsman who served on active duty for 6 years and has been in the Reserves for the last 5 years. During his time on active duty, Reyes was deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Additionally, while serving in Spain, he was selected to be a team leader for the NASA Space Shuttle Emergency Recovery Team at TAL site Morón. Currently, Reyes is assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines out of Chicago.


Col. Joseph Rohret (Ret.) earned his Master of Pastoral Theology degree as he continues his path of serving others. Joe retired as a United Air Force Colonel after 26 years of service. As the pilot of Air Force 2, Joe had the opportunity to fly the second family, cabinet members, other politicians and foreign heads of state during his time in the Air Force. Rohret also served as a commander throughout the Middle East in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey.
