Post-9/11 G.I. Bill®

Yellow Ribbon Program
Through veteran's benefits and St. Ambrose's financial contribution, many veterans can take advantage of a private liberal arts education for free or at a very low cost. Please refer to the Veteran Services page and click on "VA Education Benefits and Yellow Ribbon Program."

Transfer of Entitlements (Active Duty)
For the first time in history, any member of the Armed Forces (active duty or Selected Reserve, officer or enlisted) enrolled in the Post-9/11 GI Bill program will be able to transfer unused educational benefits to their spouses or children starting August 1, 2009.

Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (W.A.V.E.)
Allows students to verify their enrollment online. Students must be currently enrolled in an approved educational program and must have a current benefit award to use WAVE.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E - Chapter 31)

Post-Vietnam Veterans Educational Assistance Program (VEAP - Chapter 32)

Survivors & Dependents Educational Assistance (DEA - Chapter 35)

Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 201
Individuals using Chapter 31 VA Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment or Chapter 33 of the G.I. Bill® will not incur penalties or restrictions due to the delayed disbursement of payment by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. These penalties include the assessment of late fees, the denial of access to classes, libraries or other institutional facilities, or the requirement that a Chapter 31 or Chapter 33 recipient borrow additional funds to cover the individual's inability to meet their financial obligations due to delayed disbursement of payment by the VA.
