Founded by an Irish priest from County Down, St. Ambrose University has one of the leading Irish Studies programs in the Midwest. The university’s Irish Studies resources, along with local Irish heritage organizations and sites, make this a perfect location to gain perspective on rural and agrarian Irish immigration connections.
Davenport is one of the Iowa-Illinois Quad Cities, a busy transportation and agricultural center known for the tremendous natural beauty of the Mississippi River, a vibrant city life, great restaurants and reasonable hotel rates.
