Welcome to St.
Ambrose University! Whether you are a potential student
exploring the university for the first time, an Ambrose alum, or a member of the
community, the entire St. Ambrose community joins me in welcoming you.
Founded in 1882
by the Diocese of Davenport, our Catholic heritage at St. Ambrose has been
rich in tradition and strong in stature. You can see our mission being lived out across the
campus – not only in the classroom, but outside of the classroom and
throughout our university community, for St. Ambrose is a place where
values matter...where people matter.
If you are a prospective
student thinking of joining our close-knit community, I urge you to check
out our admissions page.
Because community is so important at St. Ambrose, our student
services division is dedicated to enhancing your experience through
residential living, student activities, and participation in intramural
sports, among others. And to learn more about all the different programs
we have to offer, visit our Ambrose A-Z page
to take a look at those majors and extra-curricular activities that may be
of interest to you.
We
also encourage our alumni and friends to remain active in our university!
Let us know what you're doing and where you are by visiting the alumni
website. There, you can keep up-to-date on alumni happenings, learn
more about our alums in action, and view photos of past events. And you
may want to check out all the latest Ambrose athletics at our athletics
site, where you can get the latest news on all your favorite varsity
teams.
This is a very
exciting time for St. Ambrose as we continue to attract a record number of
outstanding students and expand
our campus. We are committed to providing students with a comfortable
and productive learning environment. Our newest residence facility, the
renovation of Rohlman Hall, and future construction of
a $15 million university center are evidence of this commitment.
Our greatest
resource at St. Ambrose is our people. We are here to ensure that your
college experience is a valuable one. Our faculty and staff are dedicated
to student development.
This unusual
attention to the individual student is what we call
the Ambrose Advantage. I believe it is unique and I am convinced that St.
Ambrose is an extraordinary place at which to study and grow. So please - look closely at what we have to offer, visit our virtual
tour of the university, and come see us soon to learn exactly what we
mean by personal attention.
Again, thank
you for visiting St. Ambrose and I look forward to meeting you soon.
